Henkels & McCoy has installed everything from service lines to 48-inch, cross-country pipelines. Other proven capabilities involve mainline, rehabilitation, transmission, distribution, and Meter and Regulator (M&R), compressor, and co-generation stations. Henkels & McCoy has met pipeline construction challenges ranging from NASA restrictions related to space shuttle launches to complex directional bores involving rivers, roads, and railroad crossing as part of the 2,333-mile Alliance natural gas pipeline construction project.

Midstream Services

Minn-Can Project: Completed 2008
A direct result of new infrastructure needed to transport crude oil from the Canadian oil-sands to the refineries, Minnesota Pipeline LLC retained Henkels & McCoy to build a 150-mile 24" product pipeline. The project started just south of the Canadian border and terminated at the Koch Refinery in the Minneapolis – St. Paul area. Included in the construction plan were over 20 directional drills through environmentally sensitive areas.

Keystone Pipeline Project: Completed 2008
TransCanada has taken on the task of engineering and constructing a 1,300-mile pipeline to transport crude oil from the Canadian oil-sands down through the upper Plains States and terminating in Cushing, OK. One of several spreads that make up this project was completed by Henkels & McCoy in North Dakota. Starting at the Canadian border, a 130-mile 30" pipeline was built during one of the five wettest years in the last century for this area without missing any scheduled tie-in dates.
