Directional Drilling and the Environment
Home > Water > Directional Drilling and the Environment

In highly sensitive environmental areas, our extensive understanding of directional bore technology proves a significant benefit to our customers—and their customers. A prime example was our successful negotiation of a 1,280-foot crossing of a saltwater channel for a potable drinking water supply for the City of Anacortes, Washington. Our performance on this project, which was completed ahead of schedule and under budget in an area supporting threatened and endangered salmon species, was commended by the environmental engineering, construction, and water resource management firm brought in by the customer to monitor the project based on their observation that no environmental impacts to the water channel or wetlands occurred.
